Safety Coordinator
Job Description
This position is responsible for providing environmental safety & health services in a manufacturing environment to ensure injury, illness and property damage prevention as well as OSHA/EPA/DOT regulatory compliance. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for tactical application in the factory of all company Environmental Health and Safety policies, procedures and programs.
Job Requirements
o OSHA Certification Preferred
o Experience teaching safety courses, first aid, OSHA courses preferred
o Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and work well independently or on a team
o High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
o Systems knowledge (MS Office, Outlook)
o Proven time management and organizational skills
o Working knowledge of 1910 standards required
o Adequate knowledge of federal and state safety and health regulations and laws by OSHA and corresponding state and local agencies.
This is a Direct Hire position with a salary of $45,000.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
