Primary Purpose:
This position is part of the Morning Pointe Management Team responsible for the creation of resident-focused, high performance, high-commitment work teams that support the Morning Pointe purpose of partnering with families in meeting the challenges of life. The Resident Services Director is responsible for overseeing the quality delivery of resident services and supervising the resident assistant staff.
Qualifications/Skills Needed:
Candidate should possess an RN or LPN nursing degree. Candidates should have five years of experience in senior resident services. Experience in staff supervision required. Strong verbal and written communications skills as well as excellent organization and interpersonal skills are a must. Resident Services directors use Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook E-mail and Internet Explorer for corporate communication and workflow. Proficiency in these applications is strongly preferred. Occasional travel required. Valid driver's license and proof of insurability required.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Resident Focused Duties:
Work with the Executive Director to building relationships and strong communication with residents and families to aid in their adjustment to Morning Pointe, identification of needs and problems and an appropriate plan of service is developed as reflected on care plans.
Responsible for the orientation, training, communication, supervision and evaluation of Resident Assistant staff members under her/his supervision and licensed clinical staff. Meet with Resident Assistants to discuss performance issues and complete 30 and 90 day and annual performance appraisals under the guidance and direction of the Executive Director.
Ensure successful implementation of clinical policies, procedures and programs within the guidelines of state regulations and Morning Pointe policies.
Provide initial and on-going training for the Resident Assistant staff and licensed clinical staff.
Responsible for the scheduling of Resident Assistant staff, clinical and non-clinical staff under his/her supervision, call-in coverage, and work/shift assignments per direction of the Executive Director.
Assist with sales process by assessment and education of potential residents, families and third party providers/referral sources.
Ensure that appropriate associate counseling and disciplinary actions occur with approval from the Executive Director.
Update assignment sheets as needed.
Participate in care plan conferences as needed to discuss the residents' status and review appropriate service plan and medication regimen.
Inform Executive Director of any concerns or changes related to the residents' physical cognitive or emotional wellbeing.
Check Medication Administration Records (MARs) when new medications arrive, contact the pharmacy regarding changes with medications and conduct QA audits of the Medication Assistant Records and medication cart as indicated.
Assists the Morning Pointe Management team in the scheduling of ancillary services such as podiatry, dentist, therapies, pharmacy consultation and other similar services.
Develop and maintain service records and medical charts for new residents and work with families to assure all required documentation is provided.
Administrative Duties / Staff Management:
Provide information about the Morning Pointe Community when the Executive Director is not available.
Visit Residents out of community weekly to assess and ensure coordination of care.
Inventory, maintain and replenish resident service supplies as budgeted (housekeeping supplies, paper products, and office supplies). Maintain proper Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) documentation and update MSDS book as needed.
Ensure that of Workers' Compensation and Unemployment Compensation programs.
Complete Workers' Compensation paperwork and Employer First Report of Injury as necessary in the absence of the Executive Director.
Manage Associate hours through swipe clock.
Plan and carry out special duties or projects as assigned.
Physical Demands:
This position is classified as HEAVY, requiring exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to life/move objects. Functional requirements include constant standing and walking. Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, turning and stretching. Finger and hand dexterity required. Visual and hearing acuity essential. Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions necessary. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
